MSA Supplies Valves for the First Nuclear Power Plant in Turkey
MSA has successfully completed the supply of 10 wedge gate valves DN600 and DN700 PN63 for Unit 1 of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, which is being built on the southern coast of Turkey as the country's very first nuclear power plant.
This is a pilot project in which the valves were manufactured in accordance with Russian nuclear power plant regulations and, simultaneously, with European legislation. This type of order tested both our technical readiness and our ability to adapt to the specific requirements of an international project.
Manufacturing took place in the standard MSA design, with a color finish according to the customer's request.
Currently, documentation preparation is already underway for Unit 2, with a total of four units with VVER-1200 reactors planned for construction.
This project is further proof that MSA is one of the reliable suppliers of valves for the nuclear energy sector at an international level.
