MSA Valves Installed as Part of an Iraqi Pipeline Project
At the end of 2025, we dispatched a delivery of industrial valves for a natural gas pipeline project in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. We have now received photographs showing our valves installed on site.
A project focused on natural gas transportation
The project is linked to the expansion of natural gas production in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. As production increases, transportation infrastructure is also needed to move natural gas from local gas fields.
The objective is to construct a new pipeline connecting the Kormor and Chemchemal areas. The project includes front-end engineering and design (FEED), detailed engineering and construction. KAR GP Ltd. was appointed by the Ministry of Natural Resources as the turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor.
Our scope of supply
For this project, we supplied high-pressure ball valves in sizes ranging from 2” to 36”, with pressure ratings of Class 600 and Class 900.
The delivery included several valve types, including MOV, GOV, SDV and BDV, with configurations and actuation systems selected according to the requirements of individual applications. The supplied specifications included electrically and electro-hydraulically actuated valves designed for demanding pipeline operating conditions.
From dispatch to installation
The latest photographs show the next stage of this delivery, following the valves’ dispatch from our facility and their subsequent installation on site.
We are pleased to see our valves used in international natural gas transportation projects and to supply products for demanding industrial applications.
